A strong performance for Ogden girls

On Ogden’s own track, the Bulldogs shined with some amazing performances and personal records during last Thursday’s Ogden Girls Relays.

The girls track team had an outstanding meet, earning 75 total team points. That was the highest of any performance yet this season for the Bulldogs. They had some great highlights from many different individuals.

In the field events, Ogden dominated. They had two first place finishes, one in the high jump and the other in shot put. In the shot put, Charlie Klauenberg kept up her strong form with another first-place finish. She won with a throwing distance of 36’-02”. In the high jump Myra Bolton won the high jump with a height just under 5 feet, coming in at 4 feet and 11 inches.

That wasn’t the end of what turned out to be a big and successful meet for Bolton. Bolton ended up finishing second in both the 100 and the 200 meter dashes. She ended up with a time of 13.33 in the 100 and 28.24 in the 200 meter dash.
