Surviving the first few weeks

Every football player will tell you the first few weeks of practice are the most torturous, but they know being in condition is critical come game time. The Bulldogs began practices Monday Aug. 7. Their season opens Friday, Aug. 25 at home against Woodward Academy.

Coach Jacob Burger says practices have been going very well. “Our seniors ore doing a great job of leading the team. They are practicing like a team that is expecting to win a lot of football games, which is a positive after the dip we took last season.”

Ogden’s volleyball team, under first time head coach Samantha Sperling, will kick off its season on the road Thursday, Aug. 24 facing Adair Casey/Guthrie Center. That same day, the boys and girls cross country teams will be competing at the Iowa State University cross country course in Ames, led by head coach Ryan Kobliska.
