Two Ogden CC runners named to all-conference team

Bulldog runners headed to Panorama for the second time this season, this time for the WCAC conference meet Thursday, Oct. 16. The hilly course was made more challenging by muddy and slippery conditions.

For the second year in a row, Trey Thompson and Andrew Stumbo took the top two spots in the boys’ race. This year they swapped places with Stumbo winning his first high school race and two-time champion Thompson placing a close runner-up, well clear of the rest of the field.

“We were able to finish second as a team behind a very strong effort from Des Moines Christian, currently ranked #15 in 2A,” said Ogden Coach Ryan Kobliska. “Evan Klicker really battled well for position in the second half of the race, while Blake Gregory did a great job of hanging with our pack of scorers. He’s come a long way since the start of the season.”
