Veterans laid to rest in Glenwood cemetery will be honored with wreaths from Wreaths Across America (WAA) this coming December.

On December 14, Boone County WAA and other volunteers will honor those who served by laying approximately 3,000 wreaths across seven cemeteries in the area. Of the 3,000 to be placed, 369 will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.

They hope to be able to place even more in the years to come.

“It’s a really great, but simple way to honor the veterans of your community who have passed,” said Richelle Bergeson, Location Coordinator for Boone County WAA. “We put them up around the holidays because a lot of people like to reflect around that time of year. It is not intended as a decoration, but instead a memoriam.”
