Warning for families to be on alert

Some attempted child abductions have recently been reported in the area. 

According to Ogden Police Chief Mick Bailey, there was one attempt Monday morning, Oct. 1 near Grand Junction. An Ogden female reported seeing a van pull up next to three girls here Saturday. The vehicle in question was similar to one reported in attempts in Webster County over the weekend. It is described as a white or light tan van or panel truck. The driver was described as a black man with a white male passenger. Chief Bailey was to talk to students about the potential danger in our community and to be on alert.
