What are the odds?

 

One of my favorite phrases is “there’s a story there!” And visiting with Sue McConnell and the Suttons, that is especially true. In fact, in the hour or so I spent with them, there were at least 5 or 6 stories I could retell!

I have to admit, though, this story is quite something.

You see, there was a group of friends celebrating Joni Zellweger’s 60th birthday. They were being ‘taxied’ from one location to another and along the way were looking at shops, stopping for snacks and refreshments. They ended up in Historic Valley Junction in West Des Moines where they went into a vintage shop. 

Sue and Dena Sprecher found themselves shuffling through a large vintage fish aquarium that was half full of old black and white photos. 

They were having a real hoot pulling out pictures of these unfamiliar people and creating captions for them that would make fun cards. If they found one, it would cost one whole dollar, and they figured that could be well worth the laugh.
