What lies ahead for Ogden softball?

The Ogden High School softball season finished last week but the future seems very bright with talent returning at every position as the team only loses one senior.

They ended up 16-14 overall, which doesn’t demonstrate the success and growth the team had over the course of the season. While they started off rusty, losing 10 of their first 15 games, they really turned it on in the second half of the season. In the second half they had 11 wins to only 4 losses which included a five game win streak. Head Coach Mike Moses thinks that demonstrates the growth the young team experienced over the course of the season.

“They put in tons of work. It took them a while to learn, a while to gel, but they did it,” Moses said. “It probably took half of the season but we finally reached what I wanted and we became a consistent team.”
