Winter snow: skiers love it, drivers hate it

Weather and caucuses were the big stories this past week. Caucuses finished up prior to the first round of winter weather that struck early Tuesday morning. Ogden missed out on the heaviest snow, receiving between three and four inches while neighbors to the north got up to a foot. Round two came Tuesday night into Wednesday - a much dryer snowfall whipped around by strong winds. Drivers were faced with slick roads and drifting snow.

This semi had difficulty negotiating a turn on the icy snow late Wednesday morning at the Hwy. 169/30 overpass near Casey’s General Store and was hung up in a drift, blocking both lanes into town.
