Zion Lutheran Women held annual supper and prayer service Feb. 6

Zion Lutheran Women’s Missionary League entertained 90 guests and members at their annual supper and prayer service at the church on Feb. 6.

Guests attended from the Boone Zone and members of the local church societies from Ogden Community United Methodist, St. John Catholic and Immanuel Lutheran.

Greeters were Phyllis Lass and Joyce Boehm. Hostesses for the event were Eldora Heineman, Dorothy Kruse, Annette Powers, Karla Kahler and Penny Olson.

The Order of Worship, “Secure in Jesus, My Rock and Fortress,” followed the meal with Pastor Brandt leading the service in the nave. The theme of the service was “I Step Out in Faith to Declare His Praise and Serve Others.”

Many songs and hymns were sung during the service, accompanied by Annette Powers, organist.

The mission’s offering went to the Haiti Mission Project. During the evening, Eileen Westrum spoke briefly about her trips to Haiti with the eyeglass project. Carol Claussen showed the pillow case dresses being sewn for the Haiti children.
