Jeffery Hendershott
Jeffery Wayne Hendershott, 66, passed away on January 17, 2025, in San Diego, California. Born on March 22, 1958, in Perry, Iowa, Jeffery was a devoted family man who cherished his time with his son, stepchildren, grandchildren, step-grand children.
Jeffery graduated from Ogden High School in Ogden, Iowa, in 1977, where he was actively involved in football, track and served on student council his freshman and sophomore years. When he graduated high school, he joined the United States Navy and stationed on the east coast serving his country with dedication.
Throughout his younger years Jeffery enjoyed fishing, and sports. He was an avid football fan, often watching games on TV, his favorite teams were San Diego Chargers and Ohio State.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hendershott; stepson, Timothy Johnson; his parents, Merrill and Beverly Hendershott, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Hendershott; stepchildren, Clinton Johnson and Missy Johnson and several grandchildren and step grandchildren, His sister, Julie (Bob) Chopard, Boone Iowa, Greg Isaacson, Clinton Iowa, Breanna Chopard, Huxley Iowa and Zachary Chopard, Ames Iowa, and his brother, Robert (Bob) Hendershott (John Nawrocki), Whitehall Michigan,along with several extended family members.
A celebration of Jeffery's life will be held on his would-be 67th birthday, March 22, 2025, in San Diego, California, (time and place to be determined) where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and legacy.
