OGDEN/EARLHAM - It was a week of close calls for the Ogden boys varsity team. They played in a pair of contests and fell in both by a combined seven points.
Tuesday night was a rivalry contest as Madrid came into the Ogden gym. The Bulldogs battled for the entire night and just fell short in overtime, 55-53.
The Bulldogs kept pace with Madrid through the opening quarter and trailed by two, 14-12. Ogden was able to build up and 11 point lead in the second quarter, but a Madrid run cut Ogden’s lead to three at halftime, 27-24.
