PERRY - With the regional meet inching closer, the Ogden girls wrestlers got back on the mat on Thursday when they took part in the Perry Invitational.
Lauren Mathews, competing at 145, took third place for the best Bulldog finish on the day. She began with a fall win over Victoria McNulty-Lecocq of Urbandale in 5:11. However, in the semifinal, Mathews fell against Perry’s Lauren Rodgers. Mathews rebounded in the third place match when her opponent was unable to compete and had to medically forfeit.
