Phyllis Lois Lass of Greenwood Village, Colorado, died on the 19th of April, 2022, at the age of 86 years. Phyllis was born in Creston, Iowa, to Vaughn and Esther. She grew up in Union County, Iowa, and graduated from Arispe High School. After high school, she worked for Standard Oil in Des Moines before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Eugene, in December, 1959. Together they raised their family and farmed near Ogden, Iowa.

Janice Zwald

Janice Marie (Henderson) Zwald, 76, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away at home on Thursday, April 21, 2022. She was a graduate of St. Cloud State University and went on to receive her Master’s Degree from Indiana University Southeast. Janice had a love for children and devoted 34 years to teaching 2nd and 3rd graders at Clarksville Community Elementary School (Greenacres). She was a member of the Tri Sigma Sorority and a 43-year-plus member of Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany, Indiana. Janice enjoyed reading and traveling extensively throughout the world with her husband.

Ray Dean Hopkins

Ray Dean Hopkins, age 84 of Boone, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Westhaven Community.

Ray was born on June 29, 1937 in Boone, the son of Ray E. and Mary (Steffy) Hopkins. He attended Boone High School.

Ray was united in marriage with Helen Walters on September 17, 1955 in Nevada. From this union were three children, Darcy, Tim and Jean.

Kim Pritchard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kim DeAnn Schmehr Pritchard on April 3, 2022. Her sudden passing comes as a shock to those who loved and adored her. She will be fondly remembered for her vivacious spirit and caring heart. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, and a very proud grandma of six. There will be a celebration of life at a future date. Ronald LeRoy Lehman

Ronald LeRoy Lehman, age 77, of Jefferson, IA passed away suddenly at his home in Mesa, AZ, on March 7, 2022.

Ron was born on November 14, 1944 to Harold and Maxine Lehman. He was later joined by a sister Carol and a brother Randy. Ron’s childhood was spent growing on the family farm where they raised livestock and grains. His enjoyment of farming lasted through his lifetime, completing his last harvest before heading to Arizona this past fall.

Mike Sorenson

Mike D. Sorenson, 73, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Accura Healthcare of Ogden, Iowa, while under the care of Suncrest Hospice.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Rev. Lyle Hansen will officiate. Burial will be at Mineral Ridge Cemetery in Ridgeport. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.
