Our favorite engineer, fisherman, hunter, dog whisperer, dad, friend, mentor, and all-around funniest guy we knew, Doyle Kent "Stoney" Stoner, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, after a brief fight with esophageal cancer. He was 78.

Coach Ed McBirnie, 78, of Stratford, Iowa, passed away at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1946, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Harold and Pauline (Grigsby) McBirnie. On August 1, 1964, he married Julie Christensen at his parent’s church of choice in Boone. His church of choice became the Presbyterian Church in Arizona, where he attended church regularly. He received an Iowa GED, and then graduated from a truck driver training school. He later retired from being a meat cutter.

Pamela “Pam” Wenger, 79, of Stockton, California, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona.

A visitation for Pam will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Beaver Cemetery in Beaver, Iowa. Pastor Chris Townsend will officiate. Nathan Swigert, 17, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at UnityPoint Health ~ Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Nathan will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Rev. Stephen Ude will officiate.
