Brian Lage

Brian A. Lage, 34, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services for Brian will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Water’s Edge Church in Ogden, Iowa. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Brian Allen Lage, son of Ross and Wendy (Saylor) Lage was born on January 23, 1988 in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated from AGWSR High School with the class of 2006. Following high school, he attended two years at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and then attended Northwest Missouri State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy.

On September 2, 2017, Brian was united in marriage to Mikael Ahrens at Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. The family currently lives in Ogden where they raise their family. Brian was employed at Key Cooperative in Kelley, Iowa where he was involved in agronomy operations.

Brian loved farming and agriculture. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, riding his motorcycle, and especially loved taking his son, Ivan hunting. He loved people and enjoyed visiting with them. Brian loved his family and had a strong faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen Lage, Pat Saylor, Eunice Saylor, Lois Saylor, Julie and Junior Taylor, and Patricia Ahrens.

Survivors include his wife, Mikael Lage and children, Ivan Taylor, Clark Raymond, and Julia Lois all of Ogden, IA; parents, Ross and Wendy Lage of Wellsburg, IA; brother, Brett (Jessica) Lage, and nephew, Cohen Lage all of Aplington, IA; mother and father-in-law, Jill and Mike Ahrens of Ogden, IA; brother-in-law, Stephon (Cassie) Ahrens; niece, Calleigh Ahrens and nephew, Brantley Ahrens all of Ogden; grandparents, Karen Lage, Pat and Bob Abels, and Bob Ahrens; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
