Rozanne Braynard

Rozanne R. Braynard, 71, of Ogden, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Boone County Hospital, Boone, Iowa.

Rozanne Rene Hasstedt, daughter of Kenneth and Rosemary (Pfaff) Hasstedt was born on September 13, 1952, in Jefferson, Iowa. She graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1970. She received her A.S. in Nursing from DMACC, Boone Campus in August of 1981.

On July 23, 1983, Rozanne was united in marriage to Kent Braynard at the Des Moines Botanical Center, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Rozanne worked as a Registered Nurse her entire career. Her vocation took her many places including the Woodward State Hospital, Jewish Life Center, St. Jude Hospice and St. Croix Hospice. She won numerous nursing awards including the Mother Theresa Award, and the National Nurse of the Year by the National Association for Home Care and Hospice.

She was an athlete, coach, scholar, caretaker, nurse, mentor, friend, sister, wife and mom. What Rozanne loved the most was the Moody Blues and traveling to New Mexico and Colorado visiting her kids.

In addition to her parents, Rozanne was also preceded in death by her nephew, Erik Lingren.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Perry “Kent” Braynard of Ogden, Iowa; son, Tony Jones of Johnston, Iowa, and daughter, Tari (Marshall) Baker of Parker, Colorado; sister, Becky Lingren of Ames, Iowa, her niece, Kelly Lingren of Ames, Iowa; and great nephew, Jacob Lingren.
