If you go by strictly the final offensive total yards, you would think that last Friday’s game with Earlham would be much tighter than the final score would indicate. You might also be led to believe it might even have resulted in the Bulldogs squeaking out a win. Not so, as a high octane Cardinals offense was too much to overcome in a 56-18 loss. To their credit, the ‘Dogs did rack up over 300 yards of total offense. It was still simply not near enough, as the Earlham ground game chewed up just over 400 yards on their own.
