Charles “Jeff” Brott, 62, passed away suddenly on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 at his home in Hartford, Iowa.

Charles Jeffery Brott was born on September 29, 1958, in Creston, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Charlene (Linkvis) Brott. He was a graduate of Clearfield High School and following his education, farmed in the Lenox area.
On January 2, 2010, he married Gloria Winterfeld in Ames. The couple lived in Waukee, Clive, and Des Moines, prior to moving to Hartford. Jeff farmed in earlier years, and later transitioned into refrigeration repair. He was currently employed by PBS Vending in Urbandale.
Jeff spent most of his time farming which was his true passion. He was a man who loved to fix things and help people with problems. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren – who lovingly referred to him as “Pa”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother in infancy, Charlie Brott Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Brott of Hartford, Iowa; three daughters, Trudy (Galen) Trucks and their children, Halley and Grant, Roxann (Kurtis) Wilmer and their sons, Max and Jon, and Elizabeth Marie Brott; two stepdaughters, Whitney (Tyler) Vohs and their children, Zach, Zoey, and Zaiden, and Brooke (Tyler) Klotz and their children, Gabe and Rylee; three sisters, Janice Purdum, Bobbie “Laura” (Randy) Barker, and Luan (Kent) Growe; and his recently adopted dog “Boss Dog”
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
