Q: Why did you decide to become a teacher?
A: My high school chemistry teacher influenced me to pursue teaching. He always believed in me even when I had no confidence in myself. From then on, I knew that being a teacher was really where my heart was.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up in Perry, Iowa.
